In the event of an emergency involving one of our pipelines please contact the BPA Pipeline Control Centre. The Centre is manned at all times. Staff at the Control Centre will assist you and initiate BPA's Emergency Response System.

BPA's procedures allocate specific responsibilities to individuals in the event of an emergency and set out the sequence of actions to be followed. Please take note of the following key individuals who will make themselves known to you in the event of an incident.

Control Centre Duty Officer
- Receives your emergency call
- Takes immediate response actions
- Acts as initial communications focal point
Incident Controller
- First BPA representative at the
incident site
- Takes charge until the Incident
Manager arrives
- Initiates immediate containment
measures
- Provides liaison with emergency
services and public
- Establishes communications
and reports
- Identified by a yellow tabard.

Incident Manager
- Line manager with overall responsibility at the incident site
- Ensures the Incident Controller has adequate resources
- Establishes contact with the BPA Duty Manager
- Acts as BPA representative at emergency site and takes over the yellow tabard
Duty Manager
- Available on call at any time
- Responsible for incident
communications
- Informs Pipeline Owners
- Informs BPA Management
- Briefs BPA Press Officer
