This section aims to give outline guidance to owner / occupiers of property affected by the route of BPA's pipelines in the UK , and to utilities / contractors who need to undertake work in the vicinity of the pipelines. bpa are members of the linewatch group, who promote greater awareness of buried oil pipelines and the safety precautions that are required when working near to them, protecting personnel and the environment. Linewatch is a joint initiative between 7 major Oil companies and between them account for some 4,440 km of buried oil pipelines.
