Pipeline Service Operations

Design:
Future operability is underpinned by a clear understanding of operating requirements at the design stage. BPA clients can benefit from the input of a fellow operator at the project definition stage to mitigate the likelihood of the 'most obvious engineering solution' dominating any output.

Commissioning and Start Up:
Safety and environmental protection are key in order to prevent loss and to satisfy regulatory authorities. BPA can develop your detailed commissioning procedures based on a combination of formal risk assessment, our own operating experience and best industry practice.

We can provide commissioning management and field teams to oversee implementation of procedures or, alternatively, support your own team through the early stages of live operation.

Operation and Maintenance:
We can work with you to define and implement the optimum operation and maintenance organisation.

This might embrace defining job roles and personnel strategy through to actual recruitment. It also includes the creation of bespoke training, the provision of operation and maintenance documentation, manuals and procedures and the establishment of emergency response plans.

In addition, we have particular expertise in the scheduling of fluid pipeline systems and in product inventory accounting. (We've even developed software systems for the purpose that can be seen in live operation on pipelines in the UK .)
