Quality Policy

BPA is ‘Keeping the UK moving 24/7/365’ by ‘managing pipelines and terminals safely and sustainably’.

To support this aim, BPA’s quality policy commitment is to provide this service consistently to meet client requirements, aiming to enhance client satisfaction through continual improvement in the effective management of its integrated business processes.

The Leadership Team implement and maintain this quality policy ensuring that it is communicated, understood and adhered to within BPA and is available to relevant stakeholders.

This is achieved through the implementation of defined quality management systems by specified roles, management, staff and stakeholders.

The Leadership Team implement a quality management system which:

  • Is appropriate to meet the purpose and context of BPA and to support its strategic direction
  • Is implemented via a risk framework process
  • Provides a framework for setting quality objectives via an annual Health, Safety, Security, Environmental & Quality (HSSEQ) Plan
  • Satisfies applicable requirements (verified via an annual management review)
  • Is monitored regularly to review performance, ensure continuing suitability, undertake audit programmes, and an annual management review

BPA implements this policy throughout its activities by:

  • Ensuring that adequate resources are made available and that all staff are trained and competent to perform their assigned roles and responsibilities
  • Encouraging positive engagement with customers
  • Requiring awareness and the strict adherence of all staff to the principles and practices of effective business management, as stated in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and in those standards to which BPA subscribes

This Policy is implemented through BPA’s QMS as a consistent standard, as detailed in MAN-Q-01. The QMS is externally certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
